Augmented reality sounds fancier than it is. In actuality a computer program takes in a web-cam image or a visual image from a cell phone and searches the field of view for things and then displays something more interesting overtop of it. So now your boring kitchen table can become an even more boring dungeons and dragons battlefield! Or perhaps your ugly head can be replaced by a less uglier head, even though that specific technology will most likely never exist for the majority of you. Augmented reality can be experienced usually by printing out a symbol of some type and away you go!

An augmented reality known as Wikitude AR Travel Guide, overlays important descriptive information about locations so you don’t have to waste your valuable time realizing that the place you just visited sucked! Instead you can stand in one spot rotating in circles like an asshat.

Now we’re talking, a zombie game that uses a ‘boardgame’ like platform to overlay a video game known as ‘ARhrrrr’. Also has the added bonus of making you look like an idiot taking pictures of an empty coffee table while sweating like a Pig on a treadmill.

Can’t remember the co-workers’ you’ve been sitting beside for 10 years? me neither! now using the TAT Augmented ID all you have to do is creep them out by pointing this crap at their face and like magic their facebook/twitter/contact info will pop up! All information you probably never cared about to begin with! look forward to: “Hey your twitter/facebook status is not accurate as you are at work and it clearly says you are gearing up for lunch.”
